Party dressing for mens
In Today's blog we're talking about party dressing rule for mens and casual dressing for mens. We're not just gonna cover one kind of party. We're talk about different types of look that enhance your overall outfit.
We're covering party like
Absolutely Formal party
Semi Formal party
Casual look
Day time party (poolside)
So I'll be talking about every single aspect of all those looks, but firstly you've gotta understand the three Constants in every single look.
1. Watch
2. Hair wax (slightly wet , slightly more groomed finish) perfect for all kind of parties.
3. Perfume
Let's go to the party looks
1. Formal party:
Rule number one for this kind of party is the minimum you've got to do is atleast wear a good shirt. That you're gonna tuck into your pants.
For an event like you wanna wear the same trousers you wear to your office ideally your darker colour. and if you don't wear trousers, you can go with dark coloured chinos, may be black or grey chino.
Shirt colour options: Dark blue
Black
Dark grey
Navy blue.
Off white shirts: light pink
Light blue
White shirt
In this cases your pants complete the look. If You go with dark shirt, you can even go with slightly pattern on it.
Shoes: Formal shoes also you can go with semi formal shoes like brogues, monkstraps and loafers.

2. Semi Formal party: While we talking about semi formal casual look you've got keep in mind that play around with colours and play around with patterns.
In these case you can go with slightly patterned shirt. It means little bit pattern in it like checks and small patterns. Because this kind of patterns is extremely fashionable currently.
Rule for this: No Jeans
NO Trousers
You've to go only with best pair of chinos.
While we're talking about night time parties, the rules aren't that stirct when compared to the formal occasions that we spoke about. You don't have to stick to white, off white or dark colour. You can play around a little bit. Just make sure nothing too bright and jazzy because, that looks tacky in any situation.
Also keep in mind it's a night time party and night wear is all about keeping your colour slightly darker, slightly on the sober side.
If you want to tuck your shirt into your pant, to give yourself that slightly more formal look. But for chilled Parties you can leave your shirt outside.
Shoes: loafers
Brogues
Boots
3. Casual party:
In this situation where you can afford to wear t-shirts and jeans. We're talking about the clubbing look or the house party look. I talking about polos paired up with chinos.
Like in this case it is a kind of formal because of collar element but keep in mind that this outfit is 100% casual instead of paring it up with chinos you can paired it up with a pair distressed jeans which are extremely in right now. But if you want to make your outfit just a little bit more casual.
V-necks: V-neck is slightly more casual than just a round neck t-shirt. And when paired with a perfect pair of jeans, this is the perfect for clubbing party and house party also for a casual date.
Jeans: deep blue
Jacket: bomber jacket ( versatile blck) only paired with black v neck or plain white round neck t-shirt.
(Denim jacket) |
Shoes: sneakers ( matching the colours with your outfit)
4. Day time party:
In day time wear, were talking about light and bright colour.
Like in this case : shorts
Light shirts.
Shoes: loafers.
Go for loafers instead of flip-flops. Flip-flops are the every day wear. But while we talking about parties, remember you're already wearing shorts or chinos and you already dress down a little bit. You don't want to dress down further with flip-flops.
Go for the loafers instead. Nothing too fancy just your regular pair of Bright coloured loafers.
